A flooring company that measures twice — then measures again.
Most flooring problems aren't flooring problems. They're preparation problems: a subfloor left out of level, planks installed before they've acclimated, quarter-round used to hide a sloppy cut. We built Golden Step around the unglamorous work nobody sees — because that's what decides whether your floor still feels solid in 2046.
Founded by Mobin Daghighi and based in the GTA, we keep our crews small and senior. The person who quotes your project is on site when it's installed.

Subfloor-first preparation
We laser-level, screw down squeaks, and moisture-test concrete before a single plank goes down. Flat to 3/16" over 10 feet — the manufacturer spec most installers skip.
Senior installers only
No rotating subcontractor crews. The hands on your floor have a decade of stairs, herringbone and wide-plank behind them.
5-year written warranty
Workmanship guaranteed on paper, not on a handshake. If a board lifts or a tread loosens, we come back.
Fixed, itemized quotes
Materials, prep, transitions, disposal — every line priced before we start. The number you sign is the number you pay.
Dust-managed & on schedule
Vacuum-attached sanding, sealed doorways, daily cleanup. We give you a finish date — and we hit it.
